Hey friend, today we are going to show you how to hang letters with hanging strips.
Gather Letter Hanging Materials
First, gather your materials. You’ll need your letters, hanging strips, a level, a pencil, and a cloth.
Create a Level Line as a Guide
Find the place on your wall where you want the bottom of your letters to sit. Place your level against the wall at this spot and run your pencil along the top of the level to create a guide line.
If you’re hanging up several letters, grab a straight edge and place it on the guide line you just created. Use your pencil to extend your guide line.
Wipe Off the Letters and the Wall
Use a damp cloth to remove any dust from both the letters and the wall.
Attach the Hanging Strips to the Back of the Letters
Be sure to follow the weight guidelines printed on the packaging of the hanging strips. Each pair of these hanging strips holds up to 3 pounds. The 12-inch letter we’re hanging here only weighs about a pound, so we’ll just need one pair of hanging strips.
Grab a pair of hanging strips and push the non-sticky sides together
Next, peel off the protective paper and press the sticky side firmly against your letter.
Peel off the protective paper on the other side and you’re ready for wall mounting!
Mount the Letters on the Wall
Hold the bottom of the letter against your guide line to ensure that it’s level and push firmly too attach the letter to the wall.
Removing the Letters
If you ever need to remove your letters, pull firmly from the bottom of the letter and it should snap right off.
Pull straight down on the tab of the remaining adhesive and it should snap right off as well.
