Spring is here and there has never been a better time to freshen up your home! Since we’re all stuck at home, it’s time to tackle all of those home projects we’ve been putting off and get our home in shape for spring!

Here’s three easy projects that I’m starting in my home this spring. Let’s turn this quarantine into a time of productivity and make our home a place we want to be trapped in!

Declutter, Declutter, Declutter!

I know, I know, no one likes to declutter, but boy, it sure feels good to relax in a clutter-free (or at least a little less cluttered) home!

While the process may be painful, decluttering is the foundation of freshening up your home for spring. Spring is all about natural light and space, and in order to let that beautiful natural light fill up your space, we have to get our clutter out of the way!

Here’s to spring cleaning everyone!

Bring More Greenery!

On to phase two of our spring freshening, greenery! Spring is all about the fresh green look coming back. Take a cue from the trees outside and bring some greenery into your home!

Potted plants (real or artificial) and wreaths are the easiest way to add a touch of green to your home. Artificial boxwood wreaths and garlands are my personal favorite as far as greenery goes!

Update Your Wall Decor

It’s amazing what a simple change in wall décor can do to a room! Rather than trying to grab a new couch or table, first try updating your wall décor. My favorite piece of wall décor right now is our home wooden letters with an artificial boxwood wreath in place of the “o.” The wooden letters add an elegant touch and spread a positive message of “home” and the wreath adds that perfect splash of green!

In addition, consider printing out some fresh family pictures to hang up, finding a new print, or hanging up your kid’s artwork!

I hope these tips have given you some ideas of how you can be freshening up your home this spring! Drop me a comment below and let me know what projects you’re starting during this quarantine!
