How to Pick the Right Size for Your Wooden Wall Letters

Deciding on the right size for your wooden wall letters can be a tricky process. Here’s a simple tip to help you get the size right on the first try!

First, grab a few sheets of regular size printer paper, a tape measurer, scissors and some adhesive tape. For reference, regular size printer paper measures about 11 inches long.

Next, tape the sheets of paper up on your wall where you want to hang your letters (use one sheet of paper per letter). You can also draw each letter on a sheet of paper for an even more realistic look!

Once you’ve taped up your “letters” on the wall, step back and take a look. Since each sheet of paper is around 11 inches, this is about what our 12-inch wooden letters would look like on your wall.

Look too small? Add some more sheets of paper and use your tape measurer and scissors to cut the precise amount of paper to add.

In general, we’ve found that somewhere between 12-inch and 20-inch letters are the best fit for most of our customers. However, we offer sizes as small as 8 inches all the way up to 44 inches, so you are sure to find a size that works for you!
